Most of our ski and snowboard tune-ups are hand done. We use our base sanding machine sparingly. Before starting, base cleaner is used to remove old wax and grime. Scratches are filled with base material rather than grinding down your base to eliminate scratches. Edges are hand-sharpened with a real file. Tips and tails are "de-tuned" upon request; a file guide is used to instill a 1°-2° bevel by hand. Hot wax is applied with an iron and then scrapped and buffed. The tools and waxes we use come from Wintersteiger and Sun Valley Ski Tools.
